Z is for ZERO MORE DAYS OF THE ABC GAME! I did it! and I'm so glad it's over! I must admit...this got pretty boring towards the end. In the beginning, it seemed that my life seemed to coincide with the ABC game...but not so much with these later letters. 

Anyways, I hope you all had a FABULOUS weekend! Yesterday was my birthday. I kicked off the weekend Friday night with dinner with Lesli & Cindy at their house. Lesli grilled fabulous chicken kabobs and cindy made a wonderful salad and mashed potatoes. it was a WONDERFUL birthday meal...and we watched Sex and the City (The MOVIE!) while we ate! This is a wonderful movie, and, again, i can't believe i waited so long to see it! I cried a LOT...but loved every minute of it! Saturday morning, i woke up bright & early at 8:30...Miss FJ had to peepee...and I decided that since I had many projects for the day, i'd go ahead and get moving. I headed to Wal Mart to buy cupcake stuff..since I was in charge of the birthday cupcakes for the festivities at Holley's. After my quick Wal Mart trip, I decided to hit up It's Fashion, one of my favorite "in-a-pinch" stores...well, they didnt open until 10:00...it was only 9:20. So i wandered around Sally's, JC Penney & Dollar Tree until It's Fashion finally opened it's doors....and they had SQUAT. ZILCH. I was so disappointed. I wanted to purchase a new frock to wear for my birthday eve celebration...instead i wore jeans and a cute top...BUT my hair looked fabulous! After leaving It's Fashion, i headed to Jagged Edge to get my hair done...highlights on the top (to cover the roots! sssssh!) and loose waves a la Carrie Bradshaw. Even picked up some pointers to do the waves myself...and have succeeded TWICE since Saturday! After getting my hair done, Wick headed over to my house and we headed to Holley's. Before we left tho, Wick let me open a birthday present early! He gave me an amazing set of wine glasses, Sex and the City MOVIE AND SOUNDTRACK :) He's so good! We had a wonderful time at Holley's...drinking, eating & good company. Sunday, I must admit i was a bit hung over from my Malibu indulgences the previous evening! Sunday is usually a VERY lazy day for me, birthday or not. So, between fabulous birthday texts & phone calls, i watched sex and the city about 3 times and napped a good bit :) Around 4, i got pretty, picked up wick, and we headed to my parents house for the birthday dinner, which was supposed to be grilled pizzas...but ended up being papa john's and a YUMMY birthday cake! As soon as I walked up at my parents house, Taylee threw out her arms and said "A-Pwize {surprise}, Happy Day, Emmy!" It brought tears to my eyes..and she helped me open my presents (perfume, a FABULOUS lamp for my living room, and an amazing vase) and helped me blow out my candles. She's a precious angel. It was good family time...and a good weekend! Back to the work grind today was not so much fun. I am so sleepy and am looking forward to watching a couple tv shows i've gotten into, as well as getting in bed EARLY!

YAYYYYYYYYY

OK I am excited about a LOT of different things in this post, 1 of them being that I only have 1 letter left and I will have completed the ABC Game! YAY for me! :) The next things that I am excited about may lead you to be lieve that I am a bit TV-obsessed. No worries, I'm not....well...maybe with these PARTICULAR programs ;).

OK Tonight is PREMIERE THURSDAY! What does that mean? That mean's THE RETURN OF GREY'S ANATOMY :) who's excited? Come on, who's with me on this one?? 

I'm so ready for my appointment with Dr. McDreamy! I can't wait to see how this season plays out. I'll be watching the blessed event with my Mama at her house...she's making a fabulous Mexican salad (and it's OH-SO-EASY) and my sister and the precious babies will be coming for a visit as well; however, my mom says the babies must leave by 8 so she can focus on Grey's. 

Also premiering tonight is The Office. Now, I am not a DIEHARD office fan....i know, i know, it is fabulous..but it DOES tend to interfere with my Grey's Anatomy viewing...and i AM a diehard GA fan. But, nevertheless, I will flip back and forth and devote my commercial time from GA to The Office. They are some funny peeps there at Dunder Mifflin. :) 

TOMORROW IS FRIDAY! I couldn't be happier! Even though it's the end of my birthweek, it's the beginning of my BIRTHWEEKEND. I'll kick off by having dinner with Cindy & Lesli tomorrow night...they are grilling for me...and we're going to watch SEX AND THE CITY! Another program of which I am a DIEHARD fan. I can't believe I've waited this long to see the movie...I AM PUMPED!

I have NOTHING for X.

So i'm just going to write about what's been goin on with me since i last blogged! Well, this week is my BIRTHWEEK, official birthday is Sunday, 9.28. This past weekend was a pretty good one...Went to dinner & a movie with Wick on Friday...we saw Burn After Reading...i was totally expecting a thriller...IT WAS HILARIOUS. i really enjoyed it. Saturday, after some shopping with Holley, I loaded up FJ and we headed out to her farm in Sturgis for some drinking and playing with her dogs, and, OF COURSE, wilson grilled some FABULOUS ribs. FJ and i crashed on their couch saturday night, and went home and I cleaned my ENTIRE apartment on Sunday. FJ slept all day, as she was exhausted from her playdate with Buddha & Samson :) This week is going by pretty quickly. Today i have a lunch date with my sister...and OF COURSE that means we will go to the Mi Ha and split combo fajitas :) we haven't done that in a while, so i'm pretty excited about that. I got some new pieces to add to my wardrobe this weekend, so i've looked super cute BOTH days this week, so that's a plus. I have no plans for this evening...probably finishing my fabulous book i'm reading. Tomorrow night i hope to see the Wick..and Thursday i have a dinner/Grey's Anatomy premiere date with my Mama!! I can't wait for the new season! Friday night I'll be baking a cake with Holley for our partay on saturday...and then celebrating my birthday with my most special peeps for the rest of the weekend!

WHERE does the time go?

WOW! So it's been a week since I've blogged! I decided I'd change things up a bit...I'm still learning about all this blogger stuff...so needless to say, it took me a while to change my layout...and I'm still waiting on a cute boy to show me how to put a picture on my header. When it comes to all this technological stuff, I'm not very saavy. 
Lots has been going on in my little world, most of which I am not really in the mood to blog about right now. Those of you who know me best know what's up, and when things settle down a bit, I'll share with my fellow bloggers. This past weekend was Bulldog Bash (which I opted NOT to attend) and we played Auburn at home. We lost by 1 single point...3-2, weird football score, I know. I tailgated with Cindy, Lesli & their crew.  I had a fabulous time, pictures to come as soon as I receive them. I know I say that about every event that I blog about..."Pictures to come soon". But it's true! At this moment, I depend on others for picture posting capabilities...perhaps I should ask for a camera for Christmas. That sounds like a good idea..although, I would really like a home computer as well. Not a laptop, an old fashioned (but new speedy) desktop computer. 

Speaking of gifts, I'll be 27 in a little over a week. The past month, i have had ZERO amount of excitement for my birthday. As the day approaches, I'm getting a little more excited. I've decided that my celebration with friends will be somewhere, sometime on Saturday. Sunday, the actual birthday, I'll be grilling pizzas with my parents and Wick and having yummy birthday cake :). I'm glad Wick isn't going to LSU...although I know he wanted to go. I'm glad he'll be here to celebrate my birthday with me again this year. 

I only have 3 more letters in the ABC game! WoW. i must say..it's taken me a lot longer than i expected it to. Anyways...Let me know what you think of my new ("girly") layout...i think i'll keep it around for a while :)

V

"V" is for VULNERABLE. This is my current mood of the day. I feel that everything in my life is in a vulnerable state right now. Perhaps i'm not using the right word..but just bear with me. I have an unsettled feeling in my gut...and i feel there are so many things left unsaid in so many situations in my life at this point. I have so many questions...many that I'm afraid to ask. But the feeling of having so much left unanswered is not fun. I have so many conflicting feelings in my heart at this very moment. I feel a lot of love. I feel a lot of anger. And, I feel a lot of hurt. I want to just make everything right...but it's not my job. I can't fix everything. And it's hard for me to realize that. I like fixing things. I like it when everyone's happy and no one is hurting. But I guess this is how we grow, eh? Even if it's me who's doing the hurting. 

Anyways...that's my thought for the day. No worries, I'm not depressed or anything like that. I just have a lot going on in my lil head. It's all good.  :) thanks for listening.

TGIF! I was a big ole slacker yesterday and didn't blog, and sweet Melly brought that to my attention :). So, today..for the letter "T", i am going to talk about what i'm THANKFUL for. With everything going on right now, hurricanes, elections, and all else in the news...i thought i should really sit back and think about what I'm thankful for in my life, and, fyi, this list EXCLUDES all the people that i love..because that would just take up too much time. You know who you are, and you know I love you! :) Here goes:

My Health. Knock on wood, i have never had a severe health problem...

My Job. I'm not rolling in the money, but I'm surviving, which is enough for me.

Transportation. While my car doesn't like me somedays...she gets me from A to B.

Not living on the coast. While i love the beach, I also love my home and would like for it to stay in 1 piece!

My sweet little apartment. Props to my mom for finding it for me :) I love my lil house.

Love. I feel love every day and it's a wonderful feeling. It makes me sad to think that some people never know that feeling.

Children. OK you know i really mean Taylee and Braylon. They truly light up my life and I just love them to pieces.

Coffee. Jump starts my day, and i'm sure my coworkers are thankful for it as well. I wouldn't be NEAR as nice as I am without the java.

Pets. I never knew the joy of having a pet until i got my VERY OWN pet. I dont think i could ever live by myself without her. She is amazing, and it's amazing how tuned in our pets are to our feelings. She's the best nurse when i'm sick, hands down! Also, a news update: A kind, kind woman in the Maben/Mathiston area has rescued two DORKIES (dachsund & yorkie mix) from Hurricane Gustav..and is GIVING them away to good homes. She has 2 males, and I'll be making the trek to Webster County to check them out on Sunday. Those of you who know me, know i've wanted to rescue a yorkie for some time...and a free one is just up my alley! So, i've already "tentatively" named him Gus. Stay tuned on Monday to find out the continuing saga of the puppies! This leads me to my next item...

Kind people. This woman who took in the dogs was so kind to do so. We dont always think about what people lost in Hurricanes such as Gustav and Katrina. I know when Katrina hit 3 years ago, I donated almost half my closet, including shoes!...i know a lot of people lost everything....and I felt good that I did something. But there are people out there who go above and beyond! Such as this woman who took in the puppies..and is doing her part to find them a suitable home. My sister also has a friend that has temporarily MOVED to the coast to help get power back to all who have lost. my point is....these people do this because they are KIND, good-hearted people. and I am Thankful for them.

Anyways..i've rambled for quite some time..but i feel better now that i've said a few things. OH i forgot one thing i'm THANKFUL for:

MSU FOOTBALL! MSU plays their first home game of the 2008 season tomorrow night, and i know i'm not the only one who's excited! I'll be going to the game with a very cute boy, if i'm nice, i'm told. :) GOOD LUCK, DAWGS!

Happy Tuesday...even though it feels like Monday. I love long weekends, but sometimes, it feels like more work having a day to make up for when you come back to work! Anyways...today is R day...and it's going to stand for i REALLY don't have anything REMARKABLE to blog about. Sorry...nothing really noteworthy going on here. Maybe something magnificent will happen between now and tomorrow and i can share it with my two readers :)
